MEME Suite Releases

The MEME Suite container is available under a limited, non-commercial use license. See the license details here. Information about commercial licensing is available here.

You can dowload and install the MEME Suite software in three different ways:

1. As a containerized Docker app for macOS or Windows by clicking here. The Docker container includes the current Motif and GOMo databases, but not the T-Gene database or sequence databases.
2. On macOS using MacPorts. If you have MacPorts installed, run port install memesuite to download and install the MEME Suite command line tools.
3. As source code for macOS, Linux, or Windows Subsystem for Linux. The source code releases are listed below, newest to oldest.

Databases

These are the motif databases, GOMo seqence databases, T-Gene Histone+Expression databases and some of the genome sequence databases used on the MEME Suite website.

  You can obtain sequence databases for use with your locally installed MEME Suite website in two ways.

  1. You can run the update-sequence-db provided with your locally installed version of the MEME Suite to download the same groups of genomes, proteomes and upstream sequences provided on the official MEME Suite Website.
  2. You can download one or more of the genome archives listed below and uncompress them. The archives in the table can be quite large; the Size column shows the download size and the uncompressed size in bytes. Refer to the installation instructions for installing MEME Suite from source or using Docker for how to make your chosen sequence database archive visible to your local MEME Suite website.

MEME Suite Software

These releases include the complete source code of the MEME Suite which can be compiled to run on OS X or Linux. They can be compiled on a Windows PC using a virtual machine (running Linux) or the Windows Subsystem for Linux.

Whenever possible use the patched version of the newest release otherwise refer to the readme (or patch readme) for patch installation instructions.
